After reading the story about Charles, I think the theme is to follow what your heart tells you to. In the story, Laurie did what his heart told him to do. No one told him to kick the teacher nor did anyone tell him to whisper a really bad word to another student. He followed his heart and did what it told him to. When I typed that he followed his heart and did what it told him to do, it is meaning that he does something he enjoys and is willing to do it without being forced to do it. For example, in the story, Charles, Laurie, kicked the teacher because he wants to color with green crayons but the teacher only allowed him to color with red crayons. No one would have told him to do that but himself.
I think that there is another theme. The other theme is that Charles lives within Laurie. This short story belongs in Collection Four, Living in the Heart and Charles live in Laurie. Charles is an imaginary friend that is Laurie. Laurie blames the things he does in school on Charles and when his parents ask him did anything interesting happen at school, he told them what happened in school but he told them that another kid did it. However, I don't think he imagined Charles just to blame things he does on him. I think he imagined him because he's only in kindergarten and when people are young, they have imaginary friends. I once had a huger amount of imaginary friends where I imagined myself as a demi-god, daughter of Poseidon, called Abby and a lot more people such as Nico, Son of Hades, and Scott, son of Poseidon. It was fun having an imaginary friend because when you feel angry, you can bring the world alive and make up a new enemy in which you beat them up. Back to topic, I think that Laurie invents Charles just for pleasure of his own at first and he talks alittle about him at first about what he does in school and he realized that his parents believed him so he decided to really blame things on him.

My Ideal Teacher...
What kind of teacher is your ideal teacher? In my opinion, an ideal teacher for me is someone who is like my mom. My mom is a piano teacher who have a really huge and large amount of experiences even though she'd only taught piano for about 20 years. Throughout the years of teaching piano, she'd taught all kinds of students. Students who try really hard to learn and succeeded, students who don't try at all and sucks after playing piano for so long, students who try as hard as they can and still can't play it well, and students with bad attitudes towards learning, students who have good attitudes but have a bad family environment, students who are polite, single-parent students who don't get loved by at home, and students whose parents doesn't care about their homework and their attitude.
I think that an ideal teacher for me is a teacher who understands the student well, have patient to go over the necessarily parts, does their job with passion and love, and is able to keep the class in control. Also, the teacher should be a responsible teacher for grading students' homework and essays on time, know what they are going to teach during that lesson or class, and knows what each student should improve on. In my opinion, I think that most of the teachers in my school are what I consider as an ideal teacher. Most teachers in my school understands or at least try to understand each individual student and goes over the parts that the students aren't too sure about, and most teachers does their job with passion or at least they act as if they do. The teachers also know what they are suppose to teach and before the class, they've got all the materials needed for class ready to start. Those are some ideals that I consider as an ideal teacher.

Aspen-Mr.Mysterious Fuzzy
Last summer, our family except my oldest brother went to America because Ben is going to the Aspen Music Camp. Well, we spent our time there and it's an awesome trip. One day, we were shopping at a mall for our 6 or 7 hour drive on our car we rent, I spotted a crowd gathered around a person. I squeezed in with the crowd and spotted Mr.Fuzzy! (There is a picture of the stand where they sell Mr.Fuzzy. I just remembered that I bought it in Las Vegas). It's so cool. I didn't know what it was at first and then, I know that it's a magic trick or a kind of trick. It's so interesting! There is a picture below of what Mr.Fuzzy looks like. Well, I begged my parents for it and they bought it for me after a really long time even though I kind of knew how they did the trick. But nevertheless, seeing that made me want to have one. By the way, I choose the purple one. Well, on the 6 to 7 hour drive, I played with Mr.Fuzzy, practicing the tricks. It's hard but it's cool. It is so cool watching the person and his Mr.Fuzzy that I decided that I want a pet like that so I decided to give it a name so after thinking about it for a long time, I named it Aspen since the reason we are going to America is because of the Aspen Music Camp. Aspen didn't affect my life but I have always wanted a special pet where I could show to my friends and families. However, my skills aren't good at all so it will be a long time before I dare to show it without people recognizing it. The link below shows an example.

User Friendly
If someone came up to me and told me that their best friend is a computer, I would feel sad. I can infer from that statement that the person keeps in touch with their computer and does nearly everything with it. It would also make me want to be their friend as well as not a friend. I would want to be their friend because it sounds as if he or she is lonely. But I would also not want to be his or her friend because when that statement was said, it feel as if that they care more about their computers than their real live friend. I could also infer from that statement that the person is kind of anti-social and shy. I would also feel sad because nowadays, computer is playing a major role in people's life and sometimes, a too major role. I have met people that just love their computers or technology and when questions are made such as what would you bring if you are running away from home or what would you do for the last second before the world ends, their answer would have to do with their computers! It kind of drives me nuts and I think that computers and technology takes a too major role in people's life nowadays.
